SCALEO chip was created ten years ago with the objective introducing new tools approach for the SoC (System on Chip) developments using ASIC & ASSP approaches. The company is mainly focusing in two market segments; Automotive and Multimedia. The company introduced new SoC chips developed for the Automotive application using the FCM3 Platform helping the co-development (hardware & software) in parallel. The success of the new methodology has placed SCALEO chip as a key partner the Car manufacturers and automotive OEMs.

SCALEO chip is currently developing new automotive architectures with an automotive manufacturer who wants to port the AUTOSAR software onto the FCM platform. In charge of the IPs library definition around innovative ARM core processors, SCALEO chip has demonstrated the capability of the new methodology achieving first silicon run success.

Using the tool chain (EasySoC?®) and the platform (FCM3®), SCALEO chip is able to manage the complete process of the ASIC development; Concept, Development, Validation, Production start, Serial JIT production delivery, Quality. Today products as Body controllers, Multifunction displays, Image processing, smart access control, are running into production with high Quality level ( automotive ppm = 50).

SCALEO chip considers the advanced engineering effort as one of the future development for the company. With this approach they are in part of different strategic European projects, as hArtes, in order to prepare the next generation of tools which will allow SCALEO chip to reduce the development cycle time with the best secured approach for the first run of silicon.
